Day 1-2: Dhaka
After a morning arrival our tour group will visit New Dhaka. The following day we will visit, Dhaka University Art Institute, Old Dhaka and the suburb of Marapara.
Day 3: Rajshahi
Ths morning we complete the touring of Dhaka and in the afternoon a flight to Rajshahi where we enjoy a cruise on Padma River and visit the Barandra Museum.
Day 4-5: Bogra
Our group tour will proceed to Bogra, one of the oldest towns in northern Bangladesh. We visit Mahasthangarh, early capital, considered sacred by Buddhists and Hindus. We also travel to Paharpur to visit ancient Buddhist Monasteries, some on tentayive World Heritage Site list (UNESCO). We also visit the ornate terracotta Kantanagar Temple.
Day 6: The Chars-Dhaka
We depart early to visit the Chars of the Jamuna River. We’ll drive approx 2 hours on a rough road to Sirajganj town, on the bank of the Jamua River between Bogra and Dhaka. Then by boat we cruise one hour to the chars.
We will disembark the boat and walk 15 minutes to a Char village to observe the simplicity of Char life: their cultivation, education, culture, commerce, society. We return to Sirajganj and drive to Dhaka (2.5 hours).
Day 7: Depart
OR CONTINUE TO CHITTAGONG
Day 7: Dhaka-Comilla-Chittagong
We will stop mid way on the drive in Comilla and visit the Folk Museum and Mainmani Buddhist Temple. Continue to Chittagong.
Day 8-9: Chitagong
A full two days immersing in Chittagong sites including museums, ship breaking yards, Central bazaar, the old city and river front as well as the Bandarban including an ethnic village and boat ride on Sangu River.
Day 10: Chittagong-Dhaka-Depart
Fly to Dhaka for your international flight home.
