Discover the diversity of Bangladeshi culture, its fascinating history, ancient traditional villages and the beauty of its rural regions including the Chars and Bandarban.

We tour New and Old Dhaka including major museums, archaeological sites, a handloom factory and Art Institute of Dhaka University.

Our travel in Bangladesh includes an excursion to the intriguing Chars - a boat cruise to reach and then walk inside one of the old vilages.

The In-Depth  journey through Bangladesh culminates with three days exploring Chittagong's ethnic villages, river cruise, temples and museums.

Day 1-2: Dhaka
Arrive and transfer to hotel. The following day we will visit, Dhaka University Art Institute, Old Dhaka, Tara Mosque, Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace), Sadarghat Port and a rickshaw making workshop.

Day 3: Rajshahi
This morning we depart to Rajshahi with stops en-route to visit the hand loom factory Sharee and the mustard factory for making mustard oil in Tangail. Next we visit the 11th century Puthia (city of temples), Puthia King's Palace, terracotta ornate temples, Shiva temple and the largest Shiva linga of the Indian sub-continent. After lunch, visit Barandra (Varendra) Museum. This evening, enjoy sunset from the banks of the Padma River (the Bangladesh part of the Ganges River).

Day 4: Rajshahi-Naogoan-Dinajpur
Stops along the way to Dinajpur to visit: 16th century Kusumba Mosque, 7th century Paharpur Monastery, ruins of the Buddhist Vihara at Paharpur, Halud Vihara and Jaggadala Vihara.

Day 5: Bogra
Our group tour will proceed to Bogra, one of the oldest towns in northern Bangladesh. En-route, we visit the ornate terracotta Kantanagar Temple, a combination of Hindu and Mughal architecture. This afternoon, visit Mahasthangarh, early capital, considered sacred by Buddhists and Hindus.

Day 6: The Chars-Dhaka 
We depart early to visit the Chars of the Jamuna River. We’ll drive approx 2 hours on a rough road to Sirajganj town, on the bank of the Jamua River between Bogra and Dhaka. Then by boat we cruise one hour to the chars. 

We will disembark the boat and walk 15 minutes to a Char village to observe the simplicity of Char life: their cultivation, education, culture, commerce, society.  We return to Sirajganj and drive to Dhaka (2.5 hours).

Day 7: Depart 
A morning tour of New Dhaka. Afternoon flight to Colombo if joining our Sri Lanka tour or depart for home.

OR CONTINUE TO CHITTAGONG

Day 7: Dhaka-Comilla-Chittagong
We will stop mid way on the drive in Comilla and visit the Folk Museum and Mainmani Buddhist Temple. Continue to Chittagong.

Day 8-9: Chitagong
A full two days immersing in Chittagong sites including museums, ship breaking yards, Central bazaar, the old city and river front as well as the Bandarban including an ethnic village and boat ride on Sangu River.

Day 10: Chittagong-Dhaka-Depart
Fly to Dhaka for your international flight home.
