Sri Lanka was also among the “Spice Islands,” found by navigators who exported cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg and cloves to wealthy Europeans. Here you will thrill to festivals featuring dancing, drumming, costumed dignitaries and parading elephants.

Another highlight is the Sri Maha Bodhi, the oldest historically documented tree in the world, dating back over 2000 years, said to originate from the tree under which Prince Siddhartha meditated in Bodhgaya India after which he attained enlightenment and became known as The Buddha.
The February tour attends Navam Perahara, an exciting colorful procession with decorated elephants, traditional music and dance.
