Day 1: Arrival Cairo
You will be met on arrival and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Cairo
The tour starts with Valley of Memphis, the once resplendent capital of the old kingdom. Here we see the statue of Ramses II, Saqqara and the Step Pyramid of Zoser, one of the world oldest stone structures. This afternoon, embark on an exploration of the Giza Pyramids.
Cruise on the Nile
Day 3: Aswan
A short flight to Aswan. Transfer to cruise ship for check-in and lunch. Afterwards, a boat ride to Philae Temple then Aswan modern High Dam.
Dinner on ship and overnight in Aswan.
Day 4: Kom Ombo - Edfu
Sail to Kom Ombo and visit Temple of Kom Ombo. Sail to Edfu. Lunch on board. Visit Temple of Edfu. Dinner on board. Sail to Luxor.
Day 5: Luxor West Bank-Edfu
We cross the river to Luxor West Bank to explore the Valley of Kings. The visit includes excursions inside the well-preserved tombs, The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon.
Day 6: Luxor
Visit Ramsueum, Valley of Nobels, Temple at Medinet Habu & Dier El Madina.
Day 7: Cairo
Short flight back to Cairo. This afternoon visit the Egyptian Museum with its excellent collection of Egyptian antiquities. Then enjoy some time to stroll and shop in the medieval maze of Khan El Khalili Bazar.
Day 8: Cairo Full Day Tour
This morning visit Coptic Cairo: the ancient Synagogue of Ben Ezra, the Coptic Church of St. Sergius and Hanging Church. Lunch at a local restaurant.
This afternoon visit the Citadel of Saladdin overlooking the whole city of old Cairo and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha then visit Sultan Hassan Mosque.
Day 9: Fly to Amman, Jordan
Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 10: Amman
This day is dedicated to experiencing the spirit of the Jordanian culture and life. Our tour of the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom will take us to the museums, the Citadel, the amphitheater, the souks and the modern part of town.
Day 11: Umm Qais, Ajlun, Jerash
We start early, driving north to Umm Qais, a site near the ancient town of Gadara, located where the borders of Jordan, Israel and Syria meet.
Afterwards, we proceed to the 12th c. Saracen castle at Ajloun.
Onward to Jerash, the best preserved example of Roman civilization.
Day 12: Mount Nebo, Madaba, Wadi Mujib, Dead Sea
We travel the King’s Highway to Madaba.
We will stop first at Mount Nebo where Moses viewed the Promised Land and is said to be buried. Afterwards, we visit the new La Soria Museum and then a full tour in Madaba. Then a short walk to the Greek Orthodox Basilica (Church) of St. George that features a vivid sixth-century Byzantine mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites.
We continue our journey to the dramatic canyon of Wadi Mujib and culminate the day at the Dead Sea.
Day 13: Excursion to Bethany – the lowest place on earth!
We begin with a visit to Bethany Beyond the Jordan, where it is believed Jesus was baptized 2000 years ago by his cousin John the Baptist.
Afterwards, we return to the resort and you will spend the rest of the day at leisure to float in the Sea, pamper yourself at the spa or learn more about the Dead Sea by visiting the impressive Dead Sea Museum.
Day 14: Dead Sea - Shobak Castle - Petra
A stop at Shobak Castle on the way to Petra.
This evening we depart for the marvelous Petra by Night tour to experience the site in her candle-lit aura. Approximately 1,800 candles have been set up to light your way down the Siq and to pick out various points of interest. The journey culminates at the Treasury where the forecourt is strewn with candles and awash with their beautiful light.
Day 15: Petra Full Day Tour
Petra is one of the great archaeological treasures in the world and without a doubt, the most important attraction of Jordan.
Enjoy a full day tour of The Hidden Nabatean city Petra, that still forms part of the domain of the Bedouin, and you will see them with their horses and camels as you begin your unforgettable trip into this cultural landmark.
Day 16: Wadi Rum-Amman-Depart
This morning we embark on an exploration of the magnificent desert moonscapes of Wadi Rum, a stupendous, timeless place virtually untouched by humanity and its destructive forces. The weather and winds have carved imposing, striking eerie landscape.
The tour concludes at a special spot where you will admire the beauty of the sun reflecting off the Sandstone Mountains of the desert while enjoying lunch and served specially for you in the middle of nowhere sharing the meal with the Bedouins.
This afternoon, depart to Amman Airport for departure. If your flight is a morning departure you will need to add another hotel night in Amman to depart the next morning.
