Our Jordan and Israel tour, starts with arrival in Jordan. The tour visits the fabled city of Petra, the magnificent desert moonscapes of Wadi Rum, and the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea Basin, where you’ll enjoy floating in the healing waters.

Petra is one of the great archaeological treasures in the world and without a doubt, the most important attraction of Jordan. Interact with the locals at Nubian and Bedouin villages and enjoy the historic sites.

A quick flight from Eilat to Tel Aviv is the start of the Israel segment of the Jordan-Israel tour. In Israel we enjoy all the known sites in the marvelous historic cities including Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Nazareth, Acco and the remarkable Jerusalem. In Jerusalem, we immerse ourselves with an in-depth exploration of its many historic sites including the Old City, Mount Zion, the Wailing Wall, Yemin Moshe, Yad Vashem.

We bask in the ambiance of charming villages of the gorgeous Upper Galilee including the holy city of Safed (Zfat), the settlement of Capernaum and Beit She’an.

    Day 1: Arrival in Amman

    Transfer to hotel.

    Day 2-3: Amman, Umm Qais, Ajlun, Jerash

    Amman touring includes a full city tour of museums, art galleries, the Citadel, amphitheater, souks and the modern part of town. Excursion to Umm Qais, the city of Jerash, part of the Decapolis (the ten big Roman cities of the East), and the charming rural Rassoun Village at Ajlun.

    Day 4: Mt. Nebo, Madaba, Wadi Mujib, Dead Sea

    We visit Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land and the mosaic city Madaba to see the famous Byzantine Mosaic map. Journey to the dramatic canyon of Wadi Mujib and the Dead Sea Panorama Complex.

    Day 5: Dead Sea, Bethany Excursion - The lowest place on earth!

    A morning excursion to Bethany Beyond the Jordan, where it is believed the place where Jesus was baptized by his cousin John the baptist. This afternoon and evening enjoy floating in the dead sea and pampering or relaxing at the resort.

    Day 6-7: Dead Sea, Shobak, Petra

    Explore the magnificent desert moonscapes of Wadi Rum and the hidden Nabatean city of Petra. Petra is one of the great archaeological treasures in the world. Explore the Siq and the most impressive monument Al Khazneh (the Treasury). You will be surrounded by hundreds of Petra's curved and built structures, soaring temples, elaborate royal tombs, and Roman Theater.

    Day 8: Wadi Rum - Aqaba

    Explore the magnificent desert moonscapes of Wadi Rum. Then descend to the breathtaking pink Nature Reserve of Rum and share a meal with the Bedouins.

    Israel
    Day 9-11: Aqaba, Tel Aviv, Jaffa

    Those on the Jordan only tour transfer to airport for flight home. Those who continue move on to Israel. Short 55 minute flight from Eilat to Tel Aviv. Spend the rest of day at leisure. Then, next morning start with a brief walk along Rothschild Boulevard and see the Bauhaus buildings, Rabin Square, the Yemen Quarter Kerem HaTeimanin. Continue to Neve Tzedek and the ancient port Jaffa.

    Day 12: Casesara, Zikhron, Yakov, Ein Hod, Haifa

    We head north to Caesarea, once a Roman capital, to see a wealth of antiquities. We visit the picturesque moshav Zikhron Yakov, enjoy Tishbi winery, the charming artist village Ein Hod. You will be able to see the golden dome of the Bahai Shrine that is set amid the beautiful Bahai Gardens, and serves as a significant landmark of the city.

    Day 13: Acre (Akko), Peki’in, Safed (Tzfat, Tiberias (Sea of Galilee)

    Explore Acre (aka Akko), UNESCO World Heritage site, a Crusaders underground city and ancient fishing port as well as Nazareth, stop in the beautiful Druze village of Pek'in, proceed to Mount Meron- the highest mountain in Israel and explore Safed- a center or Kabbalah since 16th century.

    Day 14: Golan Heights, Capernaum, Tabgha, Tiberias (Sea of Galilee)

    We will ascend to the Golan Heights. Onwards to the settlement of Capernaum, on the shores of Galilee. We visit the Mount of Beatitudes, that has been long identified as the place from which Jesus delivered his Sermon on the Mount.

    Day 15-16: Zippori, Nazereth, Beit She'an, Masada, Jerusalem

    Travel to Zippori (aka Sepphoris) which features an impressive archeology site dating back to the Hasmoneans who settled there in the 2nd century BC, as well as subsequent Byzantine, Arab and Crusader ruins. We shall browse inside the beautiful Orthodox Church of Annunciation (aka Church of St. Gabriel). We drive through the lovely Jordan Valley to the epic city of Jerusalem. We stop in Bet She'an and Masada along the way.

    Day 17-19: Jerusalem & Bethlehem

    In Jerusalem we immerse ourselves with an in-depth exploration of its many historic sites including the Old City, Mount Zion, the Wailing Wall, Yemin Moshe, Yad Vashem. There will be visits to important museums, markets and memorial sites. We visit Bethlehem with a special Bethlehem guide.
