Persian Treasures of Iran Tour

Embark on a journey into the mystic of the Persian culture on our extensive Iran tour.

Visit historic sites, ancient traditional villages, enjoy spectacular landscapes, browse crafts centers and local bazaars.

Tehran is a bustling cities so many interesting museums. We aim to visits as much as possible during the two days we are in Tehran.

One highlight is the opulent Golestan Palace/Museum Complex. This is the former residence of the 19th early 20th century Qajar Kings of Iran, with several museums including the Marble Throne Room. Golestan Palace is the oldest of the historic monuments in Tehran.

The Museum of Ancient Iran (Archaeological Museum) displays an authentic collection of pottery, bronze and valuable pieces from millenniums BC until the Islamic era. The objects on display have been found from different regions of Iran including Susa, Persepolis, and many other ancient sites.

The Museum of the Islamic Era (which has been under renovation for 9 years) has finally opened in late 2015. It contains arts and antiquities from throughout the Islamic period. This museum provides an excellent introduction to Iran.

Enjoy the fabulous National Jewels Museum with its extraordinary collection of gemstones and jewelry.

Next, we are guided through the lovely Abguineh Glass and Ceramics Museum with a beautiful collection of glass and pottery from different periods. The exquisite museum, located in the historical part of Tehran.

We drive to North Tehran to visit the former residence of the ex-Royal Family of Iran at Sa’ad-Abad Palace/Museum Complex, located at the foothills of the Darband Mountains.

Once we leave Tehran, our Iran tour travels at a nice easy pace with ample time to absorb the ambiance and feel the sense of “being there.”

The visits to major historic sites are dispersed with stops in small villages to observe traditional lifestyles.  These are places where locals gather such as port towns, the spa town Sarein and Ramsar, the old riveria of Iran.

We offer two Iran tour options: the Iran Comprehensive 27 day tour and the 16 day Iran Highlights tour.
