Jain Temple Ranakpur, India

    Day 1-2: Meet in Delhi

    Enjoy a tour of Old and New Delhi, including Red Fort, Gates of India, Qutab Minar, and a rikshaw ride through the fascinating market in Old Delhi.

    Day 3: Agra

    One must experience at least one train ride in India and this early morning express train to Agra is the perfect one-short and comfortable. Visit Agra Fort, Itmad-ud Daulah tomb, sunset and sunrise visits to Taj Mahal.

    Day 4-5: Fatehphur Sikri-Jaipur & Samode

    Enroute, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the capital of the Great Mughul Empire from 1570 to 1586, a unique architectural concept. Visit Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

    A full exploration of Jaipur, built in the 1720s and popularly known as the Pink City, includes the City Palace complex, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), and Jal Mahal (Water Palace). We also visit 11th century Amber, the ancient kingdom of Jaipur, and the quaint Samode Village with its ornate Palace.

    Day 6:Pushkar

    Feb Tour: This will be a relaxed day. Our hotel is the best in town, right on the lake and next to the main ghat. A guided walking tour to visit Brahma Temple and other sites. Rest of day free to explore on your own or relax by the lake.

    During Pushkar Faire: We are located near the fairgrounds and one can wander through the nomadic camel herders’ camp quarters to see their lifestyles close up and to interact with them. They are very friendly and enjoy the exchange as well. Relax by the lake, explore the village on foot and check out cafes and shops, as well as visit the Brahma Temple.

    Day 7 Nimaj

    Nimaj is a fascinating little village that sees very few tourists. It is home of the Seervi Tribe, a tribe very similar to the better-known Bishnois. Staying in the village offers wonderfully warm hospitality, insight into rural India, and a chance to get to know an Indian family.

    Day 8: Jodhpur

    Tour of Jodhpur, including the 15th century Mehrangarh Fort perched majestically on a high hill. Browse the bazaars with abundant traditional crafts.

    Day 9-10 Jaisalmer

    Be dazzled by this mystical town in the Thar Desert. A pleasant walk around the the daunting 12th century Jaisalmer Fort, lavishly decorated hugel havelis and ancient Jain Temples. Excursion to Khuri village with houses of mud and straw decorated like the patterns on Persian carpets. Sunset camel ride in the sand dunes.

    Day 11-13 Rohet-Narlai Villages

    Explore enchanting villages and observe rural lifestyles, stroll bustling bazaars. Visit the Bishnoi settlements. One night stay at 15th century home of Marwar nobility.

    Day 14-15 Udaipur

    Visit the magnificent 1439 Ranakpur Jain Temples and enjoy lunch at the Maharaja's Mango Orchard enroute to serene Udaipur. The lovely lakeside capital of Mewar, Udaipur is a quaint town with cobblestone streets, plentiful bazaars, marble palaces, lakeside gardens, havelis and art galleries.
