Effective Date: January 2024

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a tour with Original World Tours, Inc. ("Original World," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making your reservation.

2. Booking and Payment

Deposit Requirements

• $600 per person deposit required to secure booking
• Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to future tours within 12 months
• Custom tour development fee: $500 (credited to final booking)

Final Payment

• Due 75 days before departure
• Late payments may result in cancellation
• Prices subject to change until paid in full

Payment Methods

• Credit cards via secure Stripe processing
• Bank transfers for amounts over $10,000
• All payments in USD

3. Pricing

Included in Tour Price

• Accommodations (double occupancy)
• Meals as specified in itinerary
• Professional local guides
• Transportation within tour
• Entrance fees to sites
• Airport transfers

Not Included

• International airfare
• Travel insurance (required)
• Visas (unless specified)
• Personal expenses
• Gratuities
• Single room supplements

4. Cancellation Policy

By You:

• 75+ days before departure: Deposit forfeited
• 74-45 days: 50% of tour price
• 44-30 days: 75% of tour price
• Less than 30 days: 100% of tour price

By Us:

• Full refund if we cancel
• Alternative dates offered when possible
• Not responsible for airfare or other non-refundable expenses

5. Travel Insurance

Mandatory RequirementAll travelers must have comprehensive travel insurance including:

• Trip cancellation/interruption
• Medical coverage (minimum $100,000)
• Emergency evacuation
• COVID-19 coverage

6. Travel Documents

Your Responsibility

• Valid passport (6 months beyond return date)
• Necessary visas
• Vaccination certificates
• Travel permits

We provide visa support letters but are not responsible for visa denials.

7. Health and Fitness

Physical Requirements

• Tours involve moderate walking and standing
• You must be able to walk 2-3 hours daily
• Carry your own luggage
• Board transportation unassisted

Medical ConditionsYou must disclose any medical conditions that may affect your travel or other participants.

8. Changes to Itinerary

We reserve the right to:

• Modify itineraries for safety or operational reasons
• Substitute accommodations of equal standard
• Alter routes due to weather or local conditions
• Change tour leaders or guides

9. Group Tours

Minimum Numbers

• Tours based on minimum participants (usually 4-6)
• Right to cancel if minimum not met 45 days prior
• Small group supplement may apply

Behavior StandardsWe reserve the right to terminate participation of anyone whose behavior adversely affects the group.

10. Liability

Limitation of LiabilityOriginal World Tours acts only as agent for suppliers and is not liable for:

• Acts or omissions of third-party suppliers
• Loss, damage, or theft of personal property
• Personal injury or death (except through our negligence)
• Force majeure events

Maximum LiabilityOur liability is limited to the tour price paid.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to:

• Natural disasters
• War or civil unrest
• Government actions
• Pandemic/epidemic
• Labor disputes
• Other circumstances beyond our control

12. Photography and Marketing

Use of ImagesWe may use photos/videos taken during tours for marketing unless you notify us in writing.

Your PhotographyRespect local customs and privacy laws regarding photography.

13. Complaints

During TourReport issues immediately to your tour leader for resolution.

After TourWritten complaints must be received within 30 days of tour completion.

14. Privacy

Your information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by California law. Any disputes will be resolved in California courts.

17. Special Conditions

Modular Tours

• Each module subject to individual terms
• Combination discounts as advertised
• Changes between modules permitted with notice

Private Tours

• Subject to modified group tour itineraries
• Pricing based on minimum 2 persons
• Additional terms may apply
